Job Description

We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented Freelance WordPress Guru to support our boutique marketing agency. This role is fully remote and project-based, where work will come in batches rather than on a strict weekly schedule.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborate over Zoom to discuss projects and solve design or tech challenges on a WordPress site.
• Take text from a file and add it to a WordPress page with an engaging style (i.e., headers, adding images, buttons, quotes, etc.).
• Swap in a new theme on an existing WordPress site and update the content to fit with the new theme, currently switching to Kadence themes and Kadence blocks.
• Work within existing WordPress sites that may have outdated, quirky issues that are not worth the expense of fixing.
• Troubleshoot mobile layouts.
• Implement SEO and schema on old WordPress sites.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills (fluent English required).
• Experience with Kadence themes, Kadence blocks, and using Gutenberg (no experience with Elementor, WPBakery, or any other visual editor required).
• Understanding of SEO and schema implementation.
• Strong design skills and an understanding of engaging content layout.
• Organized, reliable, and able to manage deadlines independently.
• Comfortable working remotely and communicating clearly.
• Familiarity with AI tools that enhance quality and deliver results.

Additional Information

Pay: $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience.

Workload will vary; expect batches of work rather than consistent weekly hours.
