Job Description

We are seeking a Motion Design Manager to lead everything that moves within the Screwfix Marketing Studio. In this role, you will report to the Senior Creative & Digital Manager and guide a talented team to bring our brand and campaigns to life through animation, film, and visual storytelling. Your responsibilities will include blending creative direction, hands-on design, and team leadership, while collaborating closely with various teams to develop standout motion assets.

Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead and mentor a team of motion designers, creating a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Oversee delivery of high-quality animation and video assets across campaigns, digital, and in-store channels.
• Manage workflow, priorities, and deadlines with the Studio and Traffic teams.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Social, and Campaign teams to develop impactful motion content.
• Review and approve final animations, ensuring strong storytelling and technical accuracy.
• Create and maintain motion style guides for consistency across all digital platforms.
• Stay ahead of motion trends, tools, and techniques to keep Screwfix’s content fresh and relevant.
• Partner with agencies and vendors when needed, maintaining brand quality and functionality.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience with HTML5, Adobe Animate, or Lottie animation (bonus points).
• Knowledge of 3D modelling and animation (Cinema 4D, Blender) (bonus points).
• Understanding how motion content drives engagement and marketing performance.
