Job Description

I’m looking to hire an automotive storyteller. The goal is for me to purchase cars, and for you to handle the creative however you see fit. I will have some locations in mind to shoot, but besides that, the creative is whatever you see fit. The goal is to build a portfolio of these storytelling ads to take to other dealerships to help them sell their cars. Each ad or story should feel different and not just cut and paste. If this is something you feel like pursuing, we can talk about pay. I believe a base and commission structure would work best. Handling the editing is a plus too.

Responsibilities

• Film and photograph automotive scenes with a focus on capturing dynamic visuals that highlight vehicle features and performance.
• Operate professional camera equipment, drones, and lighting gear to achieve desired shot quality.
• Edit video footage using Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe After Effects to create compelling final products.
• Develop motion graphics and visual effects to enhance video content.
• Conduct post-production tasks including color correction, sound editing, and visual enhancements using Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator.
• Collaborate with creative teams to conceptualize shot lists, storyboards, and project timelines.
• Maintain organized footage libraries and ensure all media assets are properly stored and backed up.
• Stay updated with industry trends in videography, automotive styling, and visual effects to continually improve content quality.

Requirements

• Proven experience in video production, videography, filming, and photography within a professional setting.
• Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator), Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut Pro.
• Skilled in post-production editing, motion graphics, and visual effects creation.
• Knowledge of automotive aesthetics and ability to creatively showcase vehicle features through visual storytelling.
• Excellent understanding of lighting techniques and camera operation for high-quality filming results.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for composition and visual storytelling.
• Experience with drone operation is a plus.
• A portfolio demonstrating previous automotive videography or photography projects is highly desirable.
