Job Description

As a 3D Tech Artist at Apple, you will play a crucial role in bringing Apple technology to the world by working as part of a dedicated team building simulation art assets. This position allows you to contribute to an innovation-focused organization developing simulations and generating synthetic data, with opportunities to work on ambitious and impactful projects aimed at enabling AIML-based products and features. You will collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to create realistic character and environmental animations.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Character modeling experience
• Experience capturing and integrating mocap data
• Experience with procedural materials systems

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years minimum experience in animation, with some experience in video games
• Artistic portfolio and work samples
• Strong fundamental art skills and experience with 3D art tools
• Experience with 3D environment modeling: asset creation, texturing (Substance, Photoshop), and optimization for real-time use
• Familiarity with PBR workflows and environment art pipelines
• Basic knowledge of rigging and skinning
• Able to estimate their schedule and deliver products on that schedule
• Can implement feedback within an iterative development process
