Job Description

As a Freelance Local Producer for Sofar Sounds in Providence, RI, you will be responsible for curating, producing, and promoting intimate concerts and live events. This role involves developing a city strategy, booking diverse artists and venues, managing event finances, and building relationships with local businesses for sponsorships and private shows. You will act as a Sofar ambassador, strengthening the brand and ensuring magical experiences for the community.

Requirements

You must have:

• 3-5 years of experience in live event curation, production, and promotions.
• Experience selling event sponsorships or marketing activations, preferably in the live events or experiential marketing space.
• Confidence in pitching ideas and closing partnership deals.
• A strong pulse on your city and its neighborhoods.
• The ability to excel at building relationships with diverse community-driven organizations.
• An understanding of how to promote and build strategic alliances for ticket sales.
• Professionalism and ownership in your work.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Clear communication abilities.
• A capability to work autonomously while remaining connected to the broader organization.
