Job Description

Seeking a skilled Web Application Developer to join a team supporting Customs and Border Protection operations. The ideal candidate will have strong front-end development experience, proficiency in Angular and .NET Core, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an Agile environment. This role requires active collaboration, problem-solving skills, and adherence to security and compliance standards, with on-site work in Ashburn, VA. This role is a 6-month temp-to-hire position.

Job Responsibilities

• Design software tools and subsystems to support reuse and domain analysis.
• Interpret software requirements and design specifications to code, integrate, and test software components.
• Participate actively in Scrum meetings and Agile development processes.
• Update System Design Documents after each software release.
• Ensure compliance with HHS CIO Enterprise Performance Life Cycle, including cybersecurity, privacy, and Section 508 accessibility.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineers and Programmers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Maintain performance optimization and security updates for web applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular and .NET Core.
• Proven ability to pass background investigation and obtain Public Trust Clearance.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies and open-source software.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud management and code versioning tools like GitLab/GitHub.
• Ability to maintain security updates, perform testing, and optimize performance.
• Willingness to work onsite in Ashburn, VA, with core hours from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
• Adaptability to new technologies and compliance with cybersecurity and accessibility standards.
