Job Description

Halogen Engineering Group is seeking a Software Engineer with over 12 years of experience to develop and maintain system management infrastructure software and services for High Performance Computing (HPC) systems in a Linux environment. The candidate will design, develop, test, deploy, document, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements. Responsibilities include: processing intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems. The role involves reviewing and testing software for adherence to design requirements, resolving software problem reports, and providing input to software component designs.

Requirements

• Experience using the Linux CLI
• Experience using Linux tools and developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes
• Strong Linux administration experience, including software integration and service management
• Experience installing and supporting COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a Linux environment
• Experience with automation frameworks, such as Ansible
• Recent software development experience using Python
• Experience with CI/CD principles and tools, such as GitLab CI, Bamboo, and Jenkins
• Experience with Git Source Control System

Desired Skills

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline and 10 years of relevant experience
• OR Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline and 12 years of relevant experience
• OR 14 years of relevant experience in similar programs and contracts

Salary Range

The projected compensation for this position ranges from $213K to $256K (annualized USD).
