Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with 3+ years of experience in building scalable, high-performance, and secure server-side applications. The role involves developing APIs, integrating databases, optimizing performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and APIs.

2. Work with relational and non-relational databases to ensure data integrity and performance.

3. Optimize backend systems for scalability, performance, and security.

4. Integrate front-end elements with server-side logic.

5. Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software.

6. Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code.

7. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues.

8. Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for development.

9. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend services.

Requirements

1. 3+ years of backend development experience.

2. Strong programming skills in one or more languages (Java, Python, Node.js, Go, or similar).

3. Experience with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.

4. Solid understanding of database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).

5. Knowledge of version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab).

6. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

7. Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

8. Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Additional Information

Location: California (Remote)

Employment Type: Temporary (Volunteer)

Working Hours: 20–30 hours/week
