Job Description

Freelance Motion & AI Designer (UK remote) at CMTG Magic. CMTG Magic creates Hollywood-quality motion & AI social media content for U.S. Small & Medium businesses. We’re hiring a senior freelancer to capture a client’s brand essence and create scroll-stopping branded social media content. This position is UK-based with overlap for U.S. client hours. We are experiencing rapid growth, making it an excellent opportunity to join a high-growth business at an early stage. B2B multi-client experience is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Turn concise briefs into scroll-stopping Reels/Shorts/LinkedIn videos within 72 hours.
• Audit & elevate client branding (visual system, motion language, thumbnails).
• Build a lightweight Brand Playbook for new clients (brand character, colourways, fonts, motion rules, thumbnail/cover templates, post examples).
• Collaborate with our Senior Social Media Manager on priorities, feedback and approvals.

Requirements

Must-haves:

• 4+ years social motion design (agency or freelance) with a live portfolio.
• Proven AI-accelerated workflow without losing brand fidelity.
• Impeccable typography, pacing, and layout for mobile.
• Comfortable working with US founders/SMBs and tight timelines.
• Clean file hygiene, naming, and handover discipline.

Nice-to-haves:

• Basic 3D for product hero shots (Blender/C4D-lite).
• Figma/Canva for social templates and thumbnails.

Quality bar:

• On-time delivery ≥95%, ≤2 edit rounds on average.
• Demonstrable lift on watch time/saves vs prior posts.
