Job Description
The Digital Content Producer is responsible for supporting enrollment marketing efforts primarily for the Division of Graduate, Online & Professional Studies. This role involves creating compelling social media and digital content that emphasizes the online student experience. Responsibilities include producing, capturing, editing, and posting stories, photos, and videos across various social media channels such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn, with the aim of enhancing online student voices and digital engagement.
The position requires a highly creative and deadline-oriented individual with proven experience in storytelling for social media and visual content production. The role is approximately 18 hours per week, which can be completed through a mix of on-site and off-site work.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelor’s degree in new media, multimedia, communications, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience producing digital content, including writing and creating stories and videos
- Experience with relevant software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Canva, and CapCut
- Fluency with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, X)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A passion for storytelling, innovation, and using new technologies
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables and timelines
- Ability to maintain collegial relationships without sacrificing the integrity or quality of the final product
- Experience handling shifting priorities and deadlines
- Experience in higher education is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of digital marketing
- Photography and videography skills
Position Details
- Employment period: 6-12 month contract
- Non-benefitted, part-time position, max hours 18 per week
- Hourly Pay Range: $25-$27, depending on experience
- Flexible schedule; work can be on-site or off-site as needed
- May require in-office work 1-2 days a week and attendance at on-campus meetings
- Potential travel between campuses and attendance at events, including some evenings and weekends
- GPS Operations Hours: 8:30am - 5pm, Monday - Friday
