Job Description

As part of a team of Neighborhood Anthem congregations, you will participate in corporate worship as a vocalist or instrumentalist, creating an environment free of distractions where people can connect with God.

Responsibilities

• Model worship for the congregation through your attitudes and actions.
• Strive to play your instrument to your greatest potential with excellence as unto the Lord.
• Attend scheduled rehearsals, services, and ministry events punctually.
• Dress in a modest manner that reflects your role in this ministry.
• Be responsible for your own instrument and sheet music, keeping your area neat and in order. Strive to set an example, both onstage and off, of godly behavior.
• Perform live music at various events, including theater productions, concerts, and community gatherings.
• Collaborate with fellow band members and event coordinators to ensure seamless performances.
• Rehearse regularly to maintain high-quality sound and stage presence.
• Assist in setting up and breaking down equipment before and after performances.
• Engage with audiences to enhance the overall entertainment experience.
• Maintain instruments and equipment in good condition.
• Contribute creatively to arrangements and performance styles as needed.

Requirements

• Active participant in a Connection Group.
• Participate in an audition for the team, demonstrating competence instrumentally and/or vocally.
• Be a team player and willing to receive feedback.
• Be available for practice. Additional events may require other time commitments.
• Proven experience or strong interest in playing musical instruments or singing within a band setting.
• Knowledge of theater production and stage performance is highly desirable.
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a lively, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Flexibility to perform during evenings, weekends, or special events as scheduled.
• Commitment to punctuality and reliability during rehearsals and performances.
• Previous experience in theater or live performance environments is a plus.

Additional Information

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $1.00 - $55,256.64 per year

Work Location: In person
