Job Description

We’re seeking a creative Videographer/Editor to film social-media content in our Manhattan Upper West Side office (about 4 hours once a month) and complete remote editing within a mutually agreed-upon timeframe. You should be skilled in shooting, editing, and creating engaging, on-brand videos, with strong visual storytelling and technical ability. The ideal candidate must stay up to date with emerging AI tools and use modern editing and graphic-design software. You will collaborate with our team to produce compelling, polished content.

Responsibilities

• Plan, shoot, and edit video content for various projects including promotional materials, social media, and internal communications.
• Collaborate with the creative team to develop concepts and storyboards for video projects.
• Utilize modern editing, AI-enhanced, and graphic design tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro (or Final Cut Pro), Photoshop, Illustrator, Descript, Audacity (or Adobe Audition), and platforms like Epidemic Sound (or Artlist) for royalty-free music.
• Ensure all video content is polished and meets quality standards before final delivery.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, especially AI, in videography and video editing.
• You should be familiar with social-media channel optimization tools like Tubebuddy and other software.

Qualifications

• Proven experience creating viral social-media videos using strong visual hooks and sub-hooks.
• Skilled in filming, lighting, sound, and short-form video production.
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and CapCut.
• Able to create simple graphics with Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
• Familiar with motion graphics and post-production workflows.
• Comfortable using AI tools for editing, captions, audio cleanup, and optimization (e.g., Descript, Adobe AI, CapCut AI).
• Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube content trends.
• Portfolio demonstrating high-quality video work is required.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate during monthly in-person shoots (Upper West Side).

Additional Information

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in New York, NY 10023
