Job Description

Homespun Digital helps businesses grow online through industry-specific online marketing and AI solutions. We’re expanding our team to offer more photo and video capabilities to our clients and for our own brand. You’ll work with us to plan, shoot, and edit video and photo content for local businesses and our internal marketing needs. This includes following the CEO to events and capturing content for his social media, the company’s social media, and client accounts. You’ll work directly with business owners, often coaching them through the filming process to capture authentic content that connects with their audience.

Requirements

• Portfolio showcasing work for local businesses or brands
• Your own camera, lighting, and audio equipment
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar NLE software
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to coach non-professionals on camera
• Reliable transportation for travel to client sites
• Organized approach to managing multiple projects

What You’ll Do

• Plan and script content in collaboration with our team and clients
• Set up lighting, audio, and camera equipment for shoots
• Direct and coach business owners during filming sessions
• Shoot video and photography for social media, websites, and marketing campaigns
• Capture content at events and on location with the CEO
• Edit content for various platforms and formats
• Manage content calendars and delivery schedules
• Travel to client locations throughout the area

Ideal Candidate Profile

You make people feel comfortable on camera. You’re comfortable in new environments and filming in public. You have a knack for translating marketing goals into visual stories, and you’re just as comfortable behind the camera as you are giving direction in front of it. You take initiative, communicate clearly, and can manage multiple projects without dropping the ball.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work with small to medium local businesses
• Understanding of social media platforms and content best practices
• Experience creating content across different industries
• Background in marketing or brand storytelling
