Choreographer Needed for New Dance Organisation – Trident Rhythm Dancers

Trident Rhythm Dancers is a new and upcoming dance organisation in Barbados. We are building two teams:

Youth Development Team (ages 5–17):
A program designed to help children use their time positively, stay active, learn discipline, build confidence, and keep out of trouble.

Adult Semi-Professional Team (18+):
A performance-focused team aiming to develop sharp, high-energy routines and train toward competitions and public performances.

We are looking for a choreographer who can help us establish our foundation with strong, age-appropriate, creative routines that match the style and brand we want to build.
What We Want to Achieve:
Develop clean, dynamic choreography for both teams

Create routines that are suitable for beginners–intermediate youth dancers and advanced adult dancers

Establish our team’s identity, formations, and performance quality from the start
Build routines that are fun, structured, energetic, and visually strong

My Role:
I am the Founder and Director of Trident Rhythm Dancers. I manage all creative direction, program development, and team structure.

Top Three Priorities:
High-quality, age-appropriate choreography for youth and adult dancers

Clear teaching materials (counts, videos, formation outlines) since the team is brand new

Timely and professional communication to help us establish a strong foundation

Deadline:
We would like the initial choreography completed within 3–4 weeks from the start of the project.

Reference Materials:
Since we are a new team, we do not have previous routines or videos.
We can provide:

Number of dancers we looking for
Style inspiration (hip hop, cheer-dance, fusion,ect)

What We’re Looking For in a Choreographer:
Experience with youth choreography and adult-level performance choreography

Ability to create routines in-person
Strong formation transitions
Clean, teachable movement

Patience and good communication
Ability to help shape the identity of a brand-new team
