Job Description

We are seeking a C# Developer/Programmer Analyst to program, maintain code, and create .NET solutions for the Virginia Information Technology Agency. The role involves designing, writing, and maintaining C# program code for ongoing projects, contributing to design and planning sessions, and formulating approaches for coding tasks. The ideal candidate will develop high-quality applications using C#/Angular/SQL Server and must have experience with large menu-driven business systems.

Requirements

  • C#, .NET 3.1 (or higher)
  • Angular (gRPC would be a plus)
  • SQL Server
  • Visual Studio/Visual Studio Code
  • Knowledge of build and deployment repositories such as Azure DevOps or GitHub
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a C# programmer or developer
  • Knowledge of additional coding languages (COBOL, PHP, C+, Java, Python, ColdFusion, etc.) would be a plus
  • Ability to write clean, easy-to-understand code
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal supervision
  • Experience with ColdFusion would be nice to have but not necessary
  • Sound understanding of coding and development processes
  • Experience working in an agile environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing C# .NET solutions for the organization
  • Creating in-house applications using the .NET framework
  • Debugging and maintaining written code
  • Defining and organizing projects on an ongoing basis
  • Reporting and resolving issues related to .NET projects
  • Identifying and handling technical risks and issues
  • Working in a project team alongside other developers
  • Providing technical support to stakeholders in the organization
  • Reporting on project statuses and developments to senior team members
  • Participating in project meetings with management and other team members

Duration: Months

Note: The first month will be onsite, transitioning to a maximum of two days a week remote. This is a contract-to-hire position, and the candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card.
