Job Description

We are seeking a talented Senior Interior Designer to join our growing in-house design team! Be part of the reimagination of our brand as we plan to renovate 1/3 of our portfolio in the next 3 years. Senior Interior Designer provides complete design for designated hotel renovations across all areas including guestrooms, corridors, restaurants, meeting spaces, and more. This role is temporary.

Requirements

  • 8 + years of experience in an architectural or interior design firm with emphasis on all areas of hotel design.
  • Bachelor Degree from a 4 year accredited Interior Design program.
  • Team player with ability to switch gears easily and multitask.
  • Highly motivated individual who progressively seeks additional responsibilities.
  • Leadership qualities to motivate and mentor others.
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience leading a project team.
  • Proven ability to handle shifting priorities, timelines and demands in a fast-paced, deadline driven working environment.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Experience designing Axminster carpet.
  • Proficient in FF&E specifications, metrics, quantity take-offs, and matrices.
  • Proficient in custom furniture design, interior elevations, millwork details, sections in AutoCAD.
  • Must be able to work within budget requirements.
  • Must be able to take the project from concept design to completion independently or as part of a team effort.
  • Travel approximately 20% of time, including willingness to travel via airplane.
  • Daily working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proficient in AutoCad, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam, Spexx (or equivalent specs writing software).
  • Sketch Up knowledge is preferred but not required.
  • NCIDQ certification or Professional Licensure is preferred (with compensation for licensure fees and CEUs).
