Job Description

Bring stories to life through motion at Screwfix. As a Motion Designer in our in-house Marketing Studio, you’ll craft eye-catching animations and motion graphics, create high-impact HTML5 assets for digital advertising, and shape campaign moments that move, inspire, and engage. Reporting to the Motion Design Manager, you’ll be responsible for creating dynamic, polished motion content that brings our campaigns to life across digital channels. This includes animated social assets and HTML5 display ads. You’ll work closely with creative, marketing, and digital teams to deliver engaging motion design that enhances customer experience. Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Experience working in a fast-paced studio or agency environment.
• Strong motion design and animation skills using After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Animate.
• Proven experience producing HTML5 ads and exporting to platform-specific specs (Google Display, DV360, Meta, etc.).
• Ability to interpret, question, and enhance creative briefs and storyboards.
• Strong collaboration skills and diplomacy when working across teams.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering polished work.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at pace and meet deadlines.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for continuous improvement.
• Experience with Digital Signage CMS is beneficial, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Designing and animating motion graphics for various campaigns, social media, digital ads, and website content.
• Building HTML5 display ads in Adobe Animate and ensuring compatibility across major ad platforms.
• Creating interactive and performance-optimised animations for digital advertising.
• Bringing briefs, scripts, and storyboards to life with high-quality, on-brand motion.
• Participating in team reviews and refining animations based on feedback.
• Maintaining consistency and quality across all motion assets and toolkits.
• Staying updated with motion design trends and HTML5/web animation techniques.
• Creating and maintaining templates, adapting assets, and ensuring all final files are delivered accurately and on time.
