Our client, a world leader in semiconductor manufacturing, is looking for a “Software Engineer(Windows)” based out of Milpitas, CA.

Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension)

We are seeking a Windows-focused Software Engineer to develop customized Windows OS images, automate system configuration, and support diagnostics for complex hardware/software systems. This role involves PowerShell scripting, test-driven configuration development, and close collaboration with hardware and software engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain custom Windows OS images tailored to system requirements.
  • Automate configuration and deployment using PowerShell scripts.
  • Apply test-driven development to ensure reliability of scripts and configurations.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for processes, tools, and configurations.
  • Develop diagnostic scripts to enhance troubleshooting for configuration and hardware issues.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, and system integration teams for smooth deployment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’/Masters’ Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience with Windows OS customization and OS image creation.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Familiarity with test-driven development methods.
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting and diagnostic tools.
