Job Description

This is a freelance full-time hours project / limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 4 - 12 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed. Conversion to full-time staff could be a consideration for this role. The NBC Sports On Air Graphics Team is looking for a broadcast motion graphics designer for its rapidly growing portfolio of live sports properties and studio shows. Your responsibilities will include hands-on production of broadcast motion design work, as well as updating existing elements and templates for properties such as Sunday Night Football, NBA, Premier League, College Football, and more. Strong skills in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Cinema 4D are essential. A collaborative and engaging spirit is important for success in this role.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • College graduate with a degree in graphic design or fine arts
  • Minimum 5 years experience working at a network or broadcast design agency
  • Understanding of the implementation of design elements in network television and live sports environments
  • Passion for show packaging and knowledge of current trends in graphic design
  • Strong skills in concept & storyboard design, design, and typography
  • Strong understanding of good motion theory
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Flexible, detail-oriented, deadline driven, and a good collaborator
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe After Effects
  • Extensive knowledge of Maxon Cinema 4D (modeling, texturing, lighting, animating, dynamics, MoGraph, render optimization, Red Shift)
