I am planning to develop an online, real-time multiplayer Backgammon game that will first be playable in a web browser. The goal is to create a classic, technically sound, and modern 2D game with a clear and functional user interface, implementing all international Backgammon rules with server-side validation for fairness. The initial focus is only on the core features, such as multiplayer support, account and login systems, matchmaking, a ranking and statistics system, and robust real-time gameplay using WebSockets. A native browser implementation is sufficient for the first phase, so no game engine is required. The platform should be modular and support flexible, well-documented APIs for future hardware integration, allowing for possible enhancements like cash games, tournaments, or hardware connections. Stability, security, and prevention of cheating or abuse are important. I am seeking an experienced freelancer with strong skills in online game development, server-side logic, and interface development to handle this project.
