We are seeking a Japanese actress for a personal, experimental video project titled “The Room You Don’t Take Your Shoes Off,” to be filmed on site in Seoul, South Korea. The role involves natural, expressive acting with a strong focus on subtle emotional reactions and authentic body language. You will perform in a minimalist space, improvising based on loose direction, often moving in scenes while wearing shoes in keeping with the ‘土足’ (dirt shoes/keeping shoes on indoors) concept. Scenes will require nuanced close-up performances, expressive footwork, and delivery of simple monologue-style Japanese lines. Native-level fluency in Japanese and a professional, reliable attitude are essential. Experience in short film, indie art, or experimental video is helpful but not required. The shoot will last a few hours and must be completed on site in Seoul. The final piece will have artistic and sensory elements, emphasizing movement, presence, and atmosphere.
