We are looking for a talented, fast, and collaborative Freelance Motion Graphic Designer/Animator-Beauty to join our video team. This role involves creating rich animations that align with client videos, both independently and integrated with live action shots. We seek a mid to senior-level professional who can quickly adapt to design changes while maintaining high execution standards in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Location: New York, NY

Hourly Salary Rate Range: $70/hr - $75/hr

Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote

Responsibilities:

• Create animation and motion graphics projects within our video department pipeline.
• Be a self-starter from concept to execution.
• Work independently, while interpreting and improving upon team members’ concepts and ideas.
• Present the creative vision and business rationale behind concepts effectively.
• Collaborate with creative stakeholders and graphic designers to generate storyboards and graphic assets.
• Understand client-side branding and vision with regards to speed and timing.
• Develop templates and maintain asset libraries for multiple projects.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in After Effects (Boris FX Mocha and Red Giant Universe); Other BCC and Sapphire plugins are a plus.
• Experience in Adobe Premiere integration.
• Experience with 3D software such as Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, Blender, including plugins like MoGraph, RealFlow, Trapcode.
• Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop; ability to transfer layers and effects into After Effects.
• A strong desire to continually expand skills by learning new software and techniques.
• At least 4 years of video/motion graphics experience in web, broadcast, or marketing firm environments.
• Strong typography, composition, and storytelling abilities.
• Experience with compositing, multi-pass renders, and/or VR workflows is a plus.
