Job Description
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will perform data and error analysis to improve models, and clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy. You will execute data science and statistical analytical experiments to solve various problems and make a significant impact across different healthcare domains. The role involves developing and deploying advanced machine learning models and AI solutions to enhance products and services, leveraging your expertise in data science, machine learning, and AI technologies to derive insights from large datasets and create predictive models that drive business decisions.
Requirements
- Location: Candidates must live in one of the 15 preferred states (AZ, FL, GA, ID, IA, KY, MI, NE, NM, NY (outside greater-NYC), OH, TX, UT, WA (outside greater-Seattle), WI) and must be a US citizen or current green card holder.
- Work Experience: 6+ years of work experience as a data scientist, preferably in a healthcare environment, but candidates with suitable experience in other industries will be considered.
- **Technical Skills:**Strong programming skills in Python and R.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch.
- Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Familiarity with relational database concepts and SDLC concepts.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent understanding of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms, including k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, and neural networks.
- Agentic Workflows and RAG Techniques: Familiarity with designing and implementing agentic workflows that leverage AI agents for autonomous operations and knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation techniques.
- Model Fine-Tuning: Proven experience in fine-tuning models for specific tasks to ensure they meet required performance metrics.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities that focus on developing innovative solutions to complex challenges.
Job Duties
- Extract meaningful insights from complex datasets and interpret data for strategic decision-making.
- Design, develop, and train machine learning models using various algorithms and techniques.
- Develop and implement agentic workflows utilizing AI agents for operational efficiency.
- Employ retrieval-augmented generation patterns to enhance language model performance.
- Fine-tune pre-trained models for specific tasks, ensuring optimal performance.
- Prepare data for analysis by performing data cleaning and handling missing values.
- Deploy AI models into production environments and monitor their performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems.
- Stay current with advancements in AI and machine learning to improve models.
- Create documentation of models, methodologies, and results and communicate findings clearly.
- Mentor and provide guidance to new data scientists.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to build models that support business objectives.
- Present complex analytical information to diverse audiences effectively.
- Perform other duties as required and look for opportunities to provide data solutions.
Additional Information
Typical schedule will be from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm local time. The role is expected to be a Temp-To-Hire opportunity based on performance. Candidates must be able to work in their own time zone.
