Parol makingUrgent
Artist is needed in Mandaue City, Philippines.
We are looking for a skilled artist or craftsperson for a parol-making project, which will be entered into a themed contest. The goal is to create a visually striking parol using recycled materials, interpreting the theme ‘Pagsidlak sa Paglaom’—showing hope and the resilience of the Filipino spirit despite recent calamities. Designs can be traditional, cultural, religious, or modern, but must be appropriate, inclusive, and celebrate the holiday spirit. The parol must be 3 feet wide by up to 3 feet high, securely constructed, and safe, especially if electrical elements like lights are included. Major structural or safety issues will result in penalties, so great care and craftsmanship is expected. You should be able to work on site in Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines, and complete the project by December 13. Rubrics and more thematic details can be provided.
Budget range:
Very small project ($250 – 750 USD)
