Job Description

On Point National Dance Competition is a New Jersey-based company producing amateur dance competitions for youth ages 4-18 across the country. We are assembling a team of talented individuals to assist in producing our live events. The Videographer will be responsible for capturing lasting memories for On Point competitors and must demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail while managing video footage and equipment in various event settings.

Requirements

• MUST have video camera experience – videographer will use On Point’s equipment.
• MUST have PC and MAC computer experience – videographer will use On Point’s computers to store/categorize images.
• Reliability and attention to detail is a MUST; video footage must not be lost.
• Positive personality and well-groomed appearance.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to work long hours in high-stress theatrical production environments.
• Located within a reasonable driving distance of Detroit, MI.
• May be responsible for driving a company van, paid for by On Point.
• Physically able to lift/lower for load-in/load-out of truck and for set-up/break-down at each event.
• Past dance convention/competition experience is a HUGE PLUS!
• Must be at least 18 years of age and available to travel from February through May.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transportation to On Point’s Detroit meet point.

Additional Information

This position is a part-time, seasonal, 1099 contract job. Candidates must be available for the following weekends, including Thursdays and Mondays:

• March 6-8
• March 13-15
• March 20-22
• March 27-29
• April 10-12
• April 17-19
• April 24-26
• May 1-3

Weekly compensation is tiered based on the length of each event. Event transportation, hotel accommodations, and on-site meals are provided.
