Advanced Pose Estimation Analysis
We are seeking an AI / Machine Learning expert with strong skills in computer vision, deep learning, and pose estimation to upgrade an existing SLEAP pipeline used for analyzing freely moving social-behaviour videos. The project involves benchmarking SLEAP, LightningPose, and DeepLabCut on our data, improving back-ends and video adaptation techniques to reduce drift, and implementing kinematics and velocity tracking with smoothing and error checks. If time allows, exploring Keypoint-MoSeq for behavioral clustering may be included. Deliverables will be a reproducible code repository (using Docker or conda), a brief benchmark report, a robust inference pipeline, and an analysis script. Proficiency with PyTorch, SLEAP, DLC, LightningPose, and GPU workflows in Python is required. Experience with transformers, multi-animal/multi-view tracking, or Keypoint-MoSeq is a plus. The position is part-time over approximately one month and is fully remote.
