Job Description

Momentum Digital is seeking a skilled Freelance Developer & Designer to create functional, visually appealing websites for agency clients. This part-time remote role, which can lead to a full-time position based on performance, requires strong skills in both design and development. The agency operates fully remotely with a team of over 50 members worldwide and primarily serves small local businesses, mostly in the service sector.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• 5+ years of experience with WordPress, web design, and other platforms such as Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, Webflow, WooCommerce, Odoo
• Experience with both front-end design and back-end development
• Strong design skills with tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
• Knowledge of SEO, web accessibility, and site optimization best practices
• Backend development experience (Node.js, PHP, etc.)
• Understanding of DNS, domains, hosting, c-panel, security features, and email
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues and integrating third-party tools
• Ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines
• Experience in WordPress web development, including creating, rebuilding sites, and installing themes and plugins
• Knowledge of API integrations and working with third-party services
• Familiarity with content delivery networks (CDNs) for optimization
• Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other monitoring tools
• Strong communication skills to work with teams and clients
• Ability to provide ideas, suggestions, and improve protocols
• Must reside in North or South America

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive websites for agency clients
• Ensure site functionality, performance, and compatibility across browsers/devices
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, including plugins and functionality
• Web management, security, and development
• Optimize websites for on-page and technical SEO
• Maintain, update, and support ongoing website improvements
• Serve as a web master regarding all website issues
• Manage hosting, DNS, security, plugins, etc.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients

Compensation

The hourly pay rate ranges from $20 to $30 depending on experience. There is also the option to be paid on a per-project basis, with a guaranteed starting rate of $1500+ per month.
