App Blocking App/NFC DeviceUrgent
We are seeking a developer to create a simple utility app for both iOS and Android platforms, replicating the main features of “The Brick” (getbrick.app). The app should allow users to select specific apps (such as Instagram) to block from a list. The blocking function is triggered by scanning a dedicated NFC tag, which activates the app block immediately. Scanning the NFC tag again removes the block. The app needs to keep track of whether it is currently “Bricked” or “Unbricked”. For iOS, the Screen Time API (Family Controls) should be used, while Android should utilize Accessibility Services or Overlay. All user settings must be stored locally on the device, with no backend required. Please refer to https://getbrick.app/ for a demonstration of the required functionality. Only the basic blocking mechanism is needed.
