Job Description

Position: Freelance Wedding Photographer (St. Louis)
Orca Creative Team is looking for experienced photographers to join our network in the St. Louis market. You will primarily photograph weddings and engagement sessions while we handle all the administrative tasks, including culling and editing. Your main focus will be on capturing beautiful, consistent, high-quality images. Urgent availability is needed for December 28th, 2025, and more assignments will follow in 2026.

Main Responsibilities

• Photograph weddings, engagement sessions, and elopements throughout St. Louis and Missouri.
• Provide exceptional customer service to engaged couples.
• Document weddings using a photojournalistic approach.
• Guide couples confidently through flattering poses during sessions and wedding day portraits.
• Keep your availability calendar updated to accept freelance assignments.
• Deliver high-quality RAW files for each event.
• Represent the Orca Creative Team as a professional freelancer/independent contractor.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 10 weddings as LEAD photographer, OR
• Minimum 3 weddings as ASSOCIATE photographer.

Skills

• Strong understanding of natural light, posing, and on-camera flash.
• Confident in fast-paced wedding environments.
• Professional, dependable, and consistent with communication.

Equipment Requirements

• LEAD Photographer:
• Two (2) full-frame camera bodies with dual card slots
• Prime + zoom lenses (f/2.8 or lower), covering multiple focal ranges
• On-camera flash / lighting equipment
• ASSOCIATE Photographer:
• One (1) full-frame camera body with dual card slots
• Prime + zoom lenses (f/2.8 or lower), covering multiple focal ranges
• On-camera and off-camera flash / lighting equipment
