Job Title: Freelance Photographer – Temecula City Lifestyle

Location: Temecula, CA (on-site assignments) | Remote editing

Job Type: Contract | Part-time, project-based | Flexible schedule

Temecula City Lifestyle is a monthly publication dedicated to celebrating the people, businesses, and experiences that make the Temecula Valley so special. We tell stories that uplift, inspire, and connect—through beautifully written features and stunning local photography.

We are seeking a talented Freelance Photographer to join our creative team. You will help visually tell the stories of our community by capturing images of local businesses, homes, events, and inspiring individuals. This is a great opportunity for a photographer who is passionate about community storytelling and thrives in a flexible, creative environment.

Requirements

• Experience in editorial, lifestyle, portrait, or commercial photography (portfolio required).
• Skilled in DSLR or mirrorless photography and editing software such as Lightroom or Photoshop.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to local shoots in and around Temecula.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Professional demeanor and the ability to make subjects feel comfortable on camera.

Preferred but Not Required

• Familiarity with Temecula Valley’s neighborhoods, venues, and small business community.
• Experience with short-form video or social content (Reels, BTS clips) - not required but would be a huge plus.
• FAA Part 107 certification for drone photography (or interest in obtaining one) - not required but would be a huge plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture High-Quality Images – Photograph local businesses, homes, community events, and editorial features in alignment with our magazine’s visual style.
• Collaborate with Our Team – Partner with our editor and writers to plan shot lists, scout locations, and deliver assets on deadline.
• Post-Production & Delivery – Edit and deliver images to meet editorial specs, including proper file organization and naming.
• Maintain Clear Communication – Coordinate shoot logistics and communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members.
