Automotive Content Creator (Contract Position)

Location: Remote / On-Site (as needed)

Type: Contract (part time [make your own hours] with some on-site time at client’s places of business during their business hours)

We are seeking a talented and self-driven Automotive Content Creator to produce high-quality video content focused on cars, performance builds, automotive parts, and related topics. This role involves filming, editing, and delivering engaging short-form and long-form videos optimized for social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and YouTube.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality video footage of cars, car parts, installations, behind-the-scenes work, and automotive events.

• Plan and execute video concepts that follow brand guidelines and current social media trends.

• Edit videos into polished, engaging content suitable for multiple platforms (Reels/TikTok/Shorts).

• Add text overlays, transitions, captions, and audio that enhances storytelling.

• Deliver content within the agreed timeline.

• Work collaboratively with clients to understand messaging and highlight key product features or performance aspects.

• Organize and maintain raw footage and project files.

Requirements

• Proven experience creating video content—preferably within the automotive or motorsports industry.

• Strong editing skills using software such as Adobe Premiere, CapCut, and/or Final Cut.

• Ability to film stable, clean footage with good composition and lighting.

• Understanding of trending audio, formats, and best practices for TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.

• Reliable transportation for on-site filming sessions.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience shooting rolling shots, cinematic b-roll, and garage/shop environments.

• Knowledge of automotive terminology, aftermarket parts, and performance culture.

• Ability to storyboard or pitch creative content ideas.

• Familiarity with photo editing for thumbnails and social posts.
