Academy Camps is an overnight sports-specific sleepaway experience offered at Blair Academy (NJ) and Suffield Academy (CT). We seek an experienced Sports Videographer to join our media team for the 2025 summer season on both campuses. The aim is to help tell our camp story and create engaging content.

Requirements

• A background in sports videography with a dedication to high standards.
• Drive to complete work efficiently to meet daily deadlines.
• Ownership or access to professional grade video and editing equipment, preferred but not required.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to establish trust and rapport quickly.
• A creative problem-solver who anticipates problems and seeks help when needed.
• A growth mindset with a willingness to receive feedback and learn from mistakes.

Position

The Videographer will be responsible for capturing daily video content to create highlight clips throughout the summer sessions. The role includes filming during sports training sessions, elective periods, and evening activities, along with editing footage on the same day.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture and create three types of clips per session:
• Daily Highlight Clips (30-45 seconds) showcasing the day’s programming.
• Session Highlight Videos (90-120 seconds) compiling the best moments from the week.
• Summer 2024 Highlight Video (2-3 minutes) summarizing the best moments from all sessions.
• Stream and showcase video clips to the camp audience during mealtimes and at events.
• Prepare for supervision sessions, accept feedback, and proactively problem-solve.

Expectations, Compensation, and Benefits

• Availability on-site for the full summer session, including pre-season training and post-camp from June 22 - August 8.
• Competitive compensation package ranging from $3,000 - 5,000, including room and board.
