Job Description

St. Louis CITY SC is looking to hire a dynamic Social Content Creator to help tell the story of the soccer club as we embark on our fourth season in MLS. This is a part-time, seasonal position. You’ll be working at one of the most unique sporting franchises in the world, combining the excitement of a soccer club with opportunities typical of a lifestyle brand. The vision is to create work that transcends sport and makes St. Louis proud.

Our work culture empowers talented people from different backgrounds in a creatively inspiring environment. We promise you’ll learn new things, share great experiences, and create work you’ll be proud of.

Requirements

Things we look for in candidates:

  • Consistency of ideas. This is our number 1 currency.
  • Beautiful storytelling showcased in a portfolio.
  • Examples of digital-first thinking and a love for creating in that space.
  • A desire to actively create and collaborate.
  • Detail-oriented mindset and a belief in accountability.

The Role:

  • Bring player personalities to fans via Social Media.
  • Deliver real-time match coverage updates across social channels.
  • Availability for weekend hours revolving around the match schedule.
  • Work at the speed of sport to deliver high-quality assets to the team.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager and Creative Team.

The Person:

  • Passion and knowledge of sport (soccer preferable).
  • Creative thinker with a strong internet presence.
  • Master of best practices across social and digital platforms.
  • Natural storyteller with evidence in fan engagement.
  • Strong writing ability and video editing/content creation skills (Premiere and CapCut).
  • Basic photo editing skills (Lightroom); photography and design skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with internal stakeholders.
  • A true team player.

Experience

  • This is an entry-level Social Media role; years of experience are less important than proof of work.
  • We welcome individuals with backgrounds in sport, advertising, content creation, production, TV, or those who have built their own projects.
  • Qualifications are less important than a portfolio that demonstrates competency.

Additional Information

This role revolves around match schedules and requires weekend hours. Candidates should be enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
