Job Description
Position Title: Church Pianist / Piano Player
Reports To: Pastor
Position Type: Part-time
The Church Pianist provides musical accompaniment for worship services and church-related events, supporting congregational singing, choirs, and special music. The pianist plays a key role in enhancing the worship experience through skilled, spirit-led music.
Requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide piano accompaniment for regular Sunday worship services.
- Accompany congregational hymns, choir selections, solos, and special music.
- Attend and play for weekly choir rehearsals.
- Collaborate with the Pastor and Minister of Music to select appropriate music for services.
- Play for special services and events as requested (e.g., revivals, funerals, weddings, holiday services).
- Maintain a worshipful, professional, and punctual presence.
