Sports-Tech Startup

We are a Swiss sports-tech startup developing a smartwatch for tennis players, currently in the early development phase. I am the founder leading the project, working directly with manufacturers and partners in Shenzhen on prototype development and testing. We are looking for a freelance videomaker based in Shenzhen to follow the founder for one full week, from January 23 to January 29, documenting meetings with manufacturers, prototype reviews, product development sessions, and the hands-on process behind building the product. The videomaker will also have the chance to visit facilities, meet engineers, and film real working sessions. Clear English communication is required, and everything will be covered under a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). During the week, the founder may spend up to two days on a related tennis sportswear project, and it will be decided together whether filming continues on those days. This project is remote, but knowledge of Shenzhen is a plus. We seek a reliable freelancer who enjoys working closely with a founder, capturing authentic startup moments, and is comfortable with a lean, practical setup.

About the client
This is a new sports-tech project currently in an early development phase, with strong long-term potential. I am the founder, and I am personally leading the project, working directly with manufacturers and partners in Shenzhen on prototype development and product testing for a tennis-focused smartwatch. During the week, the videomaker will have the opportunity to visit manufacturing facilities, meet engineers, see and film the prototype, and document real working sessions. When relevant, the videomaker may also provide feedback or suggest small adjustments to the project or content approach, always aligned with the project direction. The goal is to document the real process behind building a product, including meetings, technical reviews, and day-to-day progress. The setup is lean, practical, and hands-on. The videomaker may also be invited to join informal business dinners or meetings, when relevant for the project. It would be a plus to work with someone based in Shenzhen who knows the city well and can occasionally share local insights or practical tips. Due to the nature of the project, all information, footage, and discussions will be covered by a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) throughout the collaboration.
