Job Description

NBCUniversal, a leading media and entertainment company, is seeking a freelance full-time broadcast motion graphics designer for its NBC Sports On Air Graphics Team. This position has an estimated duration of 4 - 12 months, with the possibility of converting to full-time staff. The role involves the production of broadcast motion design work and updating graphics for various live sports properties and studio shows, including Sunday Night Football and NBA. Proficiency in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Cinema 4D is essential. The role requires collaboration with a team of designers and delivering high-quality graphics under tight deadlines.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• College graduate with a degree in graphic design or fine arts
• Minimum 5 years of experience at a network or broadcast design agency
• Understanding of design elements in network television and live sports
• Passion for show packaging with knowledge of current graphic design trends
• Strong concept & storyboard design capabilities
• Proficient in design and typography
• Strong understanding of motion theory
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Must be flexible, detail-oriented, and a team player
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Expert in Adobe After Effects
• Extensive knowledge of Maxon Cinema 4D, including modeling, texturing, lighting, animating, and render optimization
• A passion for sports is a plus
