Job Description

We are seeking a Backend Developer specializing in Python and Django to join a high-impact healthtech scale-up that is currently in an acceleration phase after closing a Series B funding round in October 2025. The company focuses on building an integrated home care model supported by advanced technology (sensors, robotics, and artificial intelligence) to enhance the autonomy and quality of life for individuals with chronic conditions or dependencies, creating a digital ecosystem that connects users, hospitals, and health centers.

Your mission will be to build and evolve backend services and APIs in Python/Django, with an emphasis on quality and reliability. You will enable scalable products that support business growth and the rollout of integrated care initiatives (telemonitoring, predictive algorithms, operational automation) while collaborating closely with product and technology squads.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Backend Developer with Python and Django.
• Experience in building and consuming APIs and backend services in production.
• Practical knowledge of reliability, engineering best practices, and a focus on quality.
• Experience with CI/CD and a culture of continuous deployment.
• Proficient in GitHub in collaborative environments.
• Team-oriented mindset: proactive, continuous learner, and ability to give/receive feedback.
• Fluent in Spanish and a good level of English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services in Python/Django for core products and new initiatives.
• Design, implement, and evolve APIs focused on performance, security, and maintainability.
• Ensure software reliability and quality through good practices, testing, and code reviews.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and continually improve delivery (automation, observability, deployments).
• Collaborate with product/UX/engineering to challenge and enrich the roadmap with a critical and impact-oriented perspective.
• Contribute to a scalable architecture and operational excellence in a fast-growing environment.
• Work in an agile environment (Scrum/Kanban), prioritizing outcomes and incremental improvement.
