About us:

NUSA STUDIOS is a social-first content studio comprised of an agile team of 12 in-house creatives, including directors, producers, shooters, and editors. We create engaging content for some of the most recognized brands globally, such as Ford, Casio, and Nandos, and also work with rapidly growing scaleups like Surreal, Estrid, and Candy Kittens.

The Role:

This is a senior position within our post-production team. You’ll be responsible for owning projects end-to-end, focusing on output, mentoring midweight and junior editors, and collaborating with directors, producers, and creatives to ensure the highest standard in visual storytelling across all deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead the post-production of commercial and branded content, especially social-first videos for platforms like Meta, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram; TVC experience is a plus.
• Perform advanced colour correction and creative grading while understanding tone, mood, and brand visual identity.
• Manage larger-scale edits from offline to polished final delivery, ensuring visually compelling edits.
• Collaborate with Directors, DOPs, Creative Leads, and Producers to interpret briefs into world-class content.
• Maintain clear post workflows, naming conventions, archiving, and project organization.
• Provide mentorship, feedback, and quality control to midweight and junior editors.
• Contribute motion design, animation, and visual effects elements as needed.
• Stay updated with platform trends, post-production techniques, and AI tools to improve workflow.
• Adapt all deliverables for appropriate platforms and aspects with user experience considerations.
• Manage multiple timelines and ensure timely delivery of edits without compromising quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional editing experience (agency, in-house, or freelance), with a track record of delivering for premium brands or fast-growing startups.
• Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong eye for cinematic colour, composition, contrast, and skin tones.
• Experience in Adobe After Effects and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro).
• A natural visual storyteller with a keen sense of pacing, sound design, rhythm, and emotional tone.
• Strong communication skills for articulating creative decisions and giving/receiving feedback.
• Up to date with current video editing, motion graphics, and grading trends.
• Experience with AI-enhanced editing tools (e.g., Firefly, ChatGPT, Kling, Midjourney) to streamline the editing process.
• Comfortable taking ownership of projects while also being a collaborative team player.
