Job Description

NTT DATA is currently seeking a Multi-Cloud Engineer - SQL Database (DBA) Focused to join our team in Plano, Texas. This role involves managing and optimizing SQL and object database environments across multiple cloud platforms including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The focus will be on provisioning, performance tuning, high availability, backup, and security of SQL databases and cloud-native object databases. This role also requires collaboration with cloud engineers, DevOps teams, data analysts, and application developers to support mission-critical applications and analytics platforms.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

- Primary expertise in SQL and secondary in Oracle.

- Microsoft SQL DBA or equivalent SQL DBA certification.

- 6+ years of experience as a SQL DBA in enterprise environments.

- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing SQL databases in AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.

- 2+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.

- Strong experience with AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure SQL Database, GCP Cloud SQL/AlloyDB, and OCI Autonomous Database.

- Working knowledge of DynamoDB, Cosmos DB, Firestore/Bigtable, and Oracle NoSQL Database.

- Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.

- Solid understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, and encryption mechanisms.

- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

- MCTS, MCITP certifications.

- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Expert (OCE) credentials.

- Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Database Specialty, Azure Database Administrator Associate, Google Professional Cloud Database Engineer, OCI Database Cloud Professional).

- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other message queuing systems.

- Knowledge of DataOps practices and database CI/CD pipelines.

- Familiarity with Kubernetes and database operators (e.g., AWS RDS Operator, Azure Arc Data Services).
