Job Description

Halogen Engineering Group is looking for a DevOps Engineer with 10+ years of experience and a current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph to join their team. This role involves supporting the development lifecycle of platform architectural design, deployment, and debugging. Key responsibilities include building a release pipeline for business software delivery, developing and maintaining version control systems (GIT), serving as a technical lead for an Agile team, and automating release deployments across various environments. The engineer will also be responsible for setting up new applications using configuration management tools, maintaining documentation software, and analyzing service stacks for improvements.

Requirements

• Must be fluent with Git
• Strong knowledge of Linux environments (RHEL 617/8, RHCSNRHCE CentOS)
• Experience with Windows system administration and performance monitoring
• 10+ years of experience in an Agile development environment
• Experience with Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment
• Experience with caching technologies and MySQL, Elasticsearch
• 10+ years of system architecture experience with coding logic understanding
• Experience managing AWS cloud and virtualized servers
• Familiarity with agile and DevOps methodologies
• Fluent in at least one programming language such as Ruby, C, C++, GO, Python, or Java
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline plus ten years of experience in similar programs

Location & Security Clearance

Location: Columbia, MD

Security Clearance: Current TS/SCI required with Polygraph (must be less than 5 years old)

Salary Range

The projected compensation range for this position is $210K to $236K annually. Salary is based on various factors including experience, education, and organizational requirements.
