Job Description
The Family Camp Photographer is responsible for working with Family Camp Families to ensure they receive high-quality family photos along with excellent customer service, in alignment with MHA’s mission, vision, culture code, and standards of conduct. This is a seasonal part-time position from June 8-August 5, 2026, requiring availability for up to 32 hours a week.

General Qualifications
The Family Camp Photographer is considered a Ministerial position, requiring staff to reflect their faith in Jesus Christ while promoting Mount Hermon Association, Inc.'s (MHA) Christian mission and standards. Staff are expected to participate in gatherings involving prayer, worship, and Bible-centered teachings.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Provide high-quality images to families while ensuring a high standard of customer service.
- Manage photography labor spending and productivity for assigned photographers.
- Communicate critical area and company updates to staff.
- Prepare and conduct routine performance reviews for photography staff.
- Develop, manage, and promote positive team culture.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education/Certifications/Licenses
- Education in Multiple Digital Outlets (Photography and Design).
Work Experience
- Experience working with guests or customers in a high-volume capacity.
- Background in photography and visual composition.
- Proficient in Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to coordinate with families clearly and in a timely manner.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge/Proficiency in Photoshop and photography.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and develop action plans when working with guests.
Physical Demands
- Ability to carry and set up equipment (up to 50 pounds).
- Ability to stand and/or move for long periods.
Additional Requirements
- Adherence to MHA’s Mission, Vision, Culture Code, and Standards of Conduct.
- Compliance with company dress code and professional standards for grooming and appearance.
- Satisfactory completion of a background investigation, valid work permit, and proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Additional Information
2026 Dates
- Meet with supervisor for training sometime during the week of June 1-5.
- Work June 8-26 (Weeks 1-3 of camp).
- Off during the week of June 28-July 4.
- Work July 6-August 5 (Weeks 5-9 of camp).
- Option to return for Labor Day Family Camp if available.
Typical Weekly Schedule
- Taking family portraits: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday afternoons 1:00–5:00pm onsite at Mount Hermon (16 hours/week).
- Editing/cataloging/uploading at photographer’s convenience, typically uploaded within one week of the shoot date, can be done remotely (10–15 hours/week).
- Availability during activity sign-up time on Monday mornings (if possible, not mandatory) for family questions (30 minutes).
Gear and Equipment
The photographer may use their own camera equipment or Mount Hermon’s equipment, subject to availability. An Adobe Creative Cloud license will be provided for editing in Lightroom Classic. Preferably, the photographer should use their own computer for editing, but Mount Hermon computers may be available if needed.
