Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Music Educator to inspire learners of all ages through engaging and innovative music instruction. In this role, you will develop customized curricula, foster a love for music, and create an inclusive environment where students can thrive creatively. Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive music curricula tailored to diverse age groups and skill levels, incorporating various genres and techniques.
- Deliver engaging lessons in individual or group settings, ensuring active participation and skill development.
- Manage classroom environments effectively to promote positive behavior, focus, and respect among students.
- Provide tutoring sessions to reinforce learning objectives and support students’ musical growth outside regular classes.
- Incorporate elements of theater, dance, ballet, or singing into lessons to enhance artistic expression and performance skills.
- Utilize photography or multimedia tools to document student progress and create promotional materials.
- Plan special events such as recitals, showcases, or community performances to celebrate student achievements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching music across different age groups, including early childhood education and preschool experience.
- Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning that aligns with educational standards.
- Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to handle behavior challenges effectively.
- Experience working with children, including those with special needs or in childcare settings.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Ability to teach a variety of artistic disciplines such as dancing (including ballet), theater, sewing, culinary arts (for creative projects), or photography as part of a holistic arts education approach.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies and creating inclusive learning environments.
- Passion for fostering creativity through arts like singing, dancing, theater arts, sewing projects, or culinary experiences.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
Additional Information
Pay: $49.00 - $54.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1.0 – 20.0 per week
Work Location: In person
