Job Description

We are seeking a Java Backend Developer for our Toronto office, which operates 4 days a week in the office. The salary range for this role is between 80K to 100K per annum or an equivalent contract rate.

Requirements

• Experience: 8 years of experience with Java, REST API, Microservices, MQ, Spring framework, Spring Boot (2.x), JSON, Hibernate, SQL, Oracle, and KAFKA.
• Application Development: Extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Java back-end applications.
• Security Knowledge: Knowledge of enterprise-level security concepts and methodologies, including SSO, SSL, APIGEE, encryption, authentication, and entitlements.
• Agile Development: Previous experience working in an Agile development team.
• Web-Based Architectures: Working knowledge of web-based application architectures and frameworks (including Angular) and their integration with services.
• Continuous Integration Tools: Experience with Continuous Integration tools such as Helios, Jenkins, GitHub, UrbanCode, and Automated Testing tools.
• Systems Knowledge: Strong systems knowledge including different programming languages, IT standards, methodologies, CMM, audit requirements, and middleware technologies.
• Process Knowledge: Experience with testing tools, design techniques and tools, risk assessment, and quantification methodologies.
• Vulnerability Handling: Experience in handling vulnerabilities.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience in the banking sector.
