Job Description

We are building a premium, long-form video/podcast designed for an audience of investors and enterprise decision-makers. We require an exceptional Head of Videography to own the entire visual and auditory experience, ensuring the technical and creative output meets the highest industry standards. This is a 6-month Contract-to-Hire (C2H) role with a clear path to a full-time leadership position, focused on establishing a gold-standard benchmark for quality during the pilot phase.

Core Responsibilities

This role is the technical gatekeeper and lead editor, responsible for maintaining a consistent, high-end look and feel for the property. Responsibilities include:

• Technical Production Ownership: Designing and operating the studio setup, including professional multi-camera capture, cinematic lighting, and broadcast-quality audio.
• Post-Production Lead: Managing the end-to-end editing workflow, including color correction, sound mixing, motion graphics integration, and final delivery for both video and audio formats.
• Quality Benchmarking: Direct accountability for filming and delivering the initial pilot content that sets the high-quality standard for the entire series.
• Social Clip Strategy: Developing and executing a standardized, efficient process for rapidly creating high-impact social media assets (clips, teasers) from the long-form content.
• Workflow Stress Testing: Collaborating with the Head of Operations to rigorously test and prove the speed and reliability of the post-production pipeline.

Required Experience and Skills

• 5+ years of experience in high-end video production and post-production, ideally for corporate, news, or executive-level media.
• Expert-level proficiency with industry-standard NLEs (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and professional audio editing software.
• Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional quality in studio lighting, multi-camera operation, and professional sound capture.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a track record of delivering content under tight, consistent publishing deadlines.
• Must be able to work from the Connecticut studio location.

Compensation

• Salary Range (C2H): $80,000 - $110,000 (annualized rate, paid hourly or monthly based on contract).
• Full-Time Potential: Successful completion of the pilot phase (Mid-Jul 2026) leads to potential conversion to a salaried, full-time employee (FTE) role with expanded compensation and comprehensive benefits.
