Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Junior Interior Designer with 4+ years of experience to join our team and work on mid- to high-end residential projects. In this dynamic role, you will work directly with the owner of the firm and assist in all phases of the interior design process.

This position is ideal for a motivated, independent thinker who is enthusiastic about design, takes initiative, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop technical, creative, and project management skills while gaining hands-on experience alongside a seasoned interior designer.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the senior designer to develop interior concepts, mood boards, and client presentation materials
• Assist in producing detailed drawings and plans using AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting software
• Support project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and tracking project milestones
• Prepare renderings and visual presentations that clearly communicate design intent
• Conduct site visits to take measurements, review progress, and ensure design specifications are met
• Assist with selecting finishes, materials, lighting fixtures, and color schemes in alignment with design intent and client preferences
• Help prepare contract documents and coordinate with vendors regarding lighting, fixtures, and material procurement

Qualifications & Skills

• 3 year degree in Interior Design
• Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D rendering software
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Solid understanding of residential finishes, materials, and their application
• Knowledge of residential furniture vendors (both wholesale and retail)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal team members

Additional Information

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $30.00 - $32.07 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 16.0 per week
