Job Description

Manna Media is a boutique marketing agency working with small businesses across a variety of industries. We are currently seeking a freelance website editor/developer to support overflow website work on a contract basis as projects come in. This is not a full-time or guaranteed-hours position. Ideal for a freelancer looking for flexible, project-based work with the potential for more consistent opportunities as demand grows.

Responsibilities

• Edit, update, and build small business websites as assigned
• Work within platforms such as WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, or similar
• Implement on-page SEO best practices (titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links)
• Ensure websites are mobile-friendly, cleanly designed, and user-focused
• Make content, layout, and functionality updates based on provided direction
• Communicate clearly on timelines and progress
• Deliver reliable, high-quality work with minimal oversight

Requirements

• Proven experience building or editing small business websites
• Understanding of mobile optimization and basic SEO principles
• Ability to follow brand guidelines and creative direction
• Strong communication skills and responsiveness
• Comfortable working as an independent contractor

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Experience working with marketing agencies
• Light copy or SEO optimization experience
• Google Business Profile or local SEO familiarity
• Ability to turn projects efficiently without sacrificing quality

Compensation

• Hourly or per-project, depending on scope
• Rate discussed during interview based on experience
• No guaranteed hours; work is assigned as projects are confirmed
