Job Description
We are seeking a talented Freelance Designer and Illustrator to join our team on a project basis. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely while contributing to Lectores’ educational projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in digital design, illustration, and visual storytelling, with the ability to adapt to different styles and mediums. You will collaborate with the internal team to produce compelling graphics, illustrations, and animations for our structured literacy project.
Requirements
- Proven experience in graphic design, illustration, or related fields with a strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across various mediums.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Adobe After Effects, SketchUp, Maya, and other relevant software tools.
- Knowledge of typography, layout design, color theory, and visual storytelling techniques.
- Strong artistic skills combined with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines independently.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interpret client needs and present creative concepts clearly.
Duties
- Develop original illustrations, graphics, and visual concepts for digital and print media using Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Design layouts for print and production design projects, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to interpret project requirements and deliver creative solutions aligned with their vision.
- Incorporate principles of typography, color theory, and visual design to enhance aesthetic appeal and readability across all deliverables.
- Prepare files for screen printing or digital publishing, ensuring high-quality output suitable for production.
Additional Information
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
