Job Description
The company is seeking a Senior Video Editor & Motion Designer to oversee the visual quality of YouTube and product videos, including Academy content and launches. This is an individual contributor role that requires strong editorial judgment and visual taste. Responsibilities include editing educational and marketing videos, collaborating with the YouTube strategist, creating motion graphics, interface visuals, and subtitles, while maintaining visual consistency in line with existing brand guidelines.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following:
- Excellent taste in video editing, motion, and visual composition.
- Strong instinct for how brand identity translates in video.
- Proven experience managing or significantly shaping video output for a channel, program, or series.
- Ability to balance creative quality with output, iteration, and deadlines.
- Organized, reliable, and detail-focused.
- Proficient in Premiere Pro and After Effects; familiar with Figma, Photoshop, or Illustrator for creating visual assets.
- Passionate about AI and LLMs, with a motivation to explore enhancement tools for video editing and motion design.
- 4+ years of experience in video editing, motion design, or creative production, or an equivalent portfolio.
- Portfolio demonstrating video editing, motion graphics, and visual asset creation is required.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Editing multiple YouTube videos weekly, focusing on structure, pacing, and engagement.
- Collaborating with the YouTube strategist to transform formats into high-quality video outputs.
- Maintaining the visual quality from raw footage to final delivery across all video content.
- Editing academy and product launch videos in partnership with product marketing to ensure clarity and brand alignment.
- Creating motion graphics, lower thirds, subtitles, and animations.
- Producing in-video assets and marketing graphics in Figma while adhering to brand guidelines.
Work Environment
This role is based in London with a hybrid working model—requiring attendance in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The company emphasizes clear direction, fast feedback, high standards, and iterative improvement. Candidates should be comfortable making judgments on pacing, motion, and visual treatment while maintaining production momentum.
Compensation
The salary for this position ranges from £45,000 to £60,000, depending on experience.
