Job Description
NOW Art is looking for a talented Web Designer to help promote our events and services to the public through our website. You will be involved in the development and maintenance of our website, utilizing WordPress and Elementor for creation and editing. Your duties will include taking requirements, creating mock-ups, and designing layouts while balancing usability, visual appeal, and technical feasibility. An understanding of best SEO practices to optimize search engine visibility is essential. As our web designer, you will work with the agency to create intuitive and attractive user interfaces that actively engage our audience.
Responsibilities
- Create wireframes or mockups for web pages and applications
- Design layouts for mobile, tablet, and desktop devices
- Design custom WordPress themes
- Work with agency to implement visual elements of websites
- Research and evaluate new design trends
- Establish and maintain design standards and best practices
- Optimizing copy and landing pages for search engine optimization
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience with Elementor and WordPress theme customization
- Experience with HTML, Javascript, and CSS
- Understanding of SEO practices
- Demonstrated ability to take a project from concept to launch
- Strong command of color theory, image composition, and typography
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to meet hard deadlines
- Ability to deliver production-ready digital assets in a wide variety of formats
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Requirements
- One to three years of professional design experience
- Portfolio of strong creative work
- Must be based in the United States of America
Additional Information
Job Types: Contract, Freelance
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
