Job Description

This position will work on a high-profile web application project at the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin. The project involves rewriting and modernizing legacy Web Form applications to a web application using Visual Studio, ASP.NET MVC with C#, JavaScript, Telerik Kendo, CSS, HTML, and SQL Server. The application will require experience in creating and editing stored procedures and other database objects, and will interface with existing systems such as an authentication and authorization application, utilizing data from multiple databases and applications.

The role involves close collaboration with the team in designing and developing both the front-end and back-end of the web application. Key project duties encompass requirements analysis, design, web application development, testing, participation in code reviews, and development using the specified technologies. Expectations include development of quality code, participation in code reviews, sharing expertise, respectful communication, transparency, and technical documentation.

Requirements

Top Required Skills & Years of Experience:

• Application development expertise using .NET MVC Core with C# and JavaScript, CSS, and HTML (5 years)

• Application development experience with Visual Studio including .NET application and web application design patterns (5 years)

• Experience with SQL Server and Client tools, including creating/updating database tables, views, stored procedures, and functions (5 years)

• Experience performing unit and smoke tests (5 years)

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with Telerik Kendo (or similar), Bootstrap, Entity Framework Core (3 years)

• Experience with source control using Git (3 years)

• Techniques to proactively prevent and reactively respond to security threats (3 years)

Additional Required Qualifications:
